Review Primark's "PS Liquid Lips Kits"

Hey there, Elky here! I wanted to pop in and review Primark’s “PS Liquid Lips”

The packaging comes with 4 lipsticks that have 1.8mL of product in them for only €5 which I think is an AMAZING DEAL and although they are small it’s more than enough for several applications. It has a sort of opaque glass packaging that allows you to see what color it is, but you definitely need to open it up to see the exact shade.

The formulas have a nice sweet scent to them you could compare it to vanilla but thankfully the smell isn’t strong enough to bother. It has a doe-foot applicator which is great because you can use the tip at an angle for a thinner more precise line as well as using it flat to easily spread the lipstick.

Now if there’s one thing you guys should know about me is that I’m not great at wearing makeup, I'll look great as soon as it's done and 5 minutes later I've already managed to smudge something because I forget I’m wearing it which is why I tend to stay away from lipsticks and because I ALSO like to eat a lot. These lipsticks are NOT kiss proof or smudge-proof but there are very lightweight and easy to remove and not only that they’re SUPER creamy so if you are wearing it and you decide to eat you won’t end up with a bold color on the outside of your mouth and then your natural lip color on the inside. (Been there done that) These lipsticks come off in a more gradual and less noticeable way than a kiss-proof liquid lipstick and since they’re not hard to take off, retouching them is quick and easy. Also, they’re not drying at all!

Although they are not kiss proof if you wear them throughout the day and it continues drying it is less likely for them to transfer. I mentioned how the formula is creamy and I think that is my favorite feature and I’ll tell you why! Have you ever bought a lipstick and you like the color but the shade is just a little TOO dark? Well, that’s not a problem with these because you can layer them up! The formula is very pigmented and creamy so you can just dab a bit of the lipstick and spread it out with your lips or your fingers and you can end up with a lighter shade and if you wanna make it darker just add a few more dabs and repeat.

Not only can you play with the darkness of the shades, but you can make new colors altogether. I like to draw an outline with my brown lipstick and use a very light pink in the middle to do a sort of gradient lip and sometimes I’ll keep mixing until it turns into a beautiful light brown. The amount of shades and tones you can make is endless and super fun to do. You can also easily apply gloss on top and turn them from a more velvet matte into a glossier look!

Brown outline pink middle | Gloss applied on top | Everything mixed together

Now I don’t remember the lipsticks having a specific name for each shade and I threw away my packaging but I’ll post pictures of myself wearing the lipstick and holding up the lipstick so you can get a general idea of what each one looks like.

So to summarize:

✅ PROS:

  • Affordable

  • Variety of colors/shades

  • Highly pigmented

  • Cruelty-free

  • Travel-friendly size

❌ CONS:

  • Not kiss proof

  • Transfers very easily

  • Doesn’t have individual names for the colors of the lipsticks
